As an ICBC c.a.r. shop VALET Accredited  facility, we  guarantee the repairs we do for you. We are also  certified to do on-site damage estimates and can help you with transportation while your car’s being fixed.

South Seas Auto Body is ICBC has accredited auto body shop. By taking your vehicle to an ICBC c.a.r. shop or c.a.r. shop VALET facility, your repairs are guaranteed for as long as you own your vehicle.
If you prefer, you may take your vehicle to a repair shop that’s not ICBC-accredited. However, you should check with the shop about its guarantee (if it offers one).

On-site Damage Estimates
 In addition to collision repairs, as a c.a.r. shop VALET facility we do damage estimates for ICBC, too. So, unless your estimate has to be done at a claim centre, you can get the estimate and repairs done at our shop in the heart of Richmond.
As an ICBC c.a.r. shop VALET facility we must meet or exceed the highest standards for repair equipment, staff, training and business practices.

Courtesy Cars, Vehicle Pick-up & Drop-off 
As a ICBC c.a.r. shop VALET facility, we can help you with transportation, too.

For no extra charge, a VALET shop may offer

          • vehicle pick-up at your home or work (within 30 km), and drop-off when the repairs are done
          • a courtesy car, or help arranging a rental vehicle (if you qualify for one).

 Paying for Repairs
Depending on your claim, when you pick up your vehicle, you may have to pay the shop:

        • a deductible—the amount you have to pay for repairs or costs before your insurance kicks in to pay for the rest
        • a portion of the cost of depreciation—when previously damaged or worn parts are repaired or replaced, or previously damaged or worn bodywork is painted
  • GST (applies to “GST registrants” only)
If your repair shop doesn’t accept ICBC estimates, you will have to pay the full cost of repairs and apply to ICBC to be reimbursed.

Two Year Time Limit for Repairs
It’s best to get your repairs done as soon as possible. Generally, you’ll have two years from the date of your crash and/or loss to complete them.
Note: The two-year limit could vary, depending on your claim. Speak to your adjuster about your specific situation.
